California really leads the nation when it comes to a clean-energy commitment. That’s why I’m so glad to be working with Light Solar—a California based company that strives to help more Americans convert to solar energy. On August 28, 2018, the Assembly in California passed SB100, a legislative act that is going to benefit every citizen. The bill will require the state to receive 50 percent of its electricity from renewables by 2026. By 2030, the state will receive 60 percent of its electricity from renewable sources. And by 2045, the state is committed to receiving 100 percent of its electricity from renewable sources.

This is a big deal. The current law requires the state to get 50 percent of its electricity from renewables by 2030. So clearly, California is moving in the right direction when it comes to building a more sustainable planet.

We need to take steps now to stave off climare change before it’s too late. SB 100 is a step in the right direction,” Said Dan Jacobson, Director of Environment California.
